작가가 생각하는 세상의 질서, 그 가장 기본 원칙은 <높고 낮음, 흐름, 깊고 얕음> 이다. 이것은 물체의 물리적 성질과 인간의 정신적 특성을 포함한다. 연구의 내용은 존재물, 즉 인간을 포함한 모든 유기체와 무기체를 상호작용하게 하는 약속에 관한 것이다.

모든 약속들이 상호작용하며 세상을 이루고 있다. 그러므로 ‘완성과 결과’는 존재하지 않는다. 세상은, 질서와 조화의 과정으로써 <높고 낮음, 흐름, 깊고 얕음>을 물리적으로 내보인다.

인간의 정신적, 정서적 부분 또한 물질의 질서와 다르지 않다. 각자의 가치관을 만들고 그것에 따라 움직인다. 누군가는 끊임없이 높으려고, 누군가는 자유로이 흐르려고, 누군가는 한없이 깊으려고 평생을 바친다.

인간과 인간을 휘감은 우주 안에서, 질서는 과정을 가시적으로 내보인다. 결과는 없다. 조화를 만들어가는 과정을 우리는 세상이라 부른다. 사람도 그렇다. 완성된 사람이 존재하지 않는 이유이다.

세상을 이루는 근본인 <높고 낮음, 흐름, 깊고 얕음>은 물질과 인간에 적용된다. ‘물리적 세상과, 인간과, 인간이 만든 사회’의 원리가 달라 보이지 않는다. 물리적 성질과 인간의 특성, 그들의 질서. 이것은 자연스럽게 세상과 나, 우리에 대한 이야기이다.

I believe that the most fundamental order of the world is expressed through Height, Depth, and Flow. It governs not only physical properties of objects but also the emotional and mental characteristics of human beings.
The essence of this research lies in what I call the promise - an interaction between all living things, including humans, and even inorganic substances. This promise is the order itself. It moves both matter and emotion, making the world’s processes visible and tangible.

The world, as a process of order and harmony, physically manifests itself through Height, Depth, and Flow. The mental and emotional aspects of humans are not so different. We create our own values and live by them. Some devote their lives to constantly reaching for height, some for endless freedom, and some for depth. Yet, it is difficult to accept what is different from ourselves. We know we ought to embrace these differences - but it is never easy.

The principle of the physical world, of human beings, and of human-made societies do not seem so different after all. Orders continuously shape both matter and humanity. I study and work with the physical properties of the world and the nature of humans. And so, quite naturally, this becomes a story about the world - and about ourselves.

It is not only terribly trivial, but also the beginning of all living things.
We dare to call it great life.

자연스러움.
세상에서 가장 아늑하고, 사랑스러우며, 본질적으로 무섭고, 그 속을 알 수 없는 것. 무엇보다 그것에는, 감정이 없다. 그것은 의지 없이, 이치를 따른다. 자신이 해야 할 일을 한다. 그것이 우리의 환경이다. 그 안에서 살아가는 것은 우리의 일이다. 그러니 우리는 존재를 위해, 서로를 돕는다. 그것은 우리의 자연스러움이다.

Naturalness
It is the most cozy and lovely in the world, intrinsically frightening, and secretive. Above all, it has no emotions. It follows logic without will. It does what it is supposed to do. It is our environment. It is our fate to live in it. So, we help each other for our own existence. It is our naturalness.

공존에 대한 이야기:
이것은 하나이자 여럿이다. 거대한 하나 의 작품 안을 채우는 각각의 작품들이, 모두 하나의 완성작들이 기 때문이다. 하나들이 모여, 하나를 이룬다. 작가가 생각하 는 공존의 모양새가 그렇다. 완성체로서의 개인들이 모여, 거대 한 하나의 무리를 이루어 살아가는 것. 작은 것과 큰 것, 무한 한 것과 유한한 것, 흐르는 것과 오르는 것, 연결된 것과 단절 된 것... 언뜻, 절대 어울리지 않을 것들 조차 한데 모여사 는 것. 이렇게 다양한 하나들이 모여, 또 다른 하나를 이루는 것 이 우리의 세상이고, 우리의 모습이다. 이것이 작가가 생각하는 공존의 모습이며, 가장 자연스러운 만물의 생존방법이다.
On Coexistence:
This is both one and many. Each piece, complete in itself, comes together to form a greater whole. To the artist, coexistence looks like this: wholeness within each, unity among all. The small and the vast, the infinite and the finite, the flowing and the rising the connected and the broken - even the seemingly incompatible live side by side. Many ones become another one. That is our world, and that is us. This is coexistence - the most natural way all things survive.

Text 2) 안녕하세요! (안녕安寧: 아무 탈 없이 편안함. 편한 사이에서, 서로 만나거나 헤어질 때 정답게 하는 인사말.) An Nyung Ha Se Yo! (Hello: a word of greeting between people in a comfortable relationship, used when meeting or parting. Literally means ‘peaceful and without trouble’.)

이 작품의 끝맺음을 많이 고민했다. 작은 점으로 대변되는, 못으로 끝을 내기로 한다. 작고 보잘것없지만, 모이면 세상을 이루는 바로 그 점(그것의 이름이 원자이든, 쿼크이든, 그 무엇이든. 또 그것이 꼭 완벽한 원의 모습이 아니더라도)이다. 공존이란, 그 긴 역사와 다양한 서사에도 불구하고 결국, 우리(나와 상대)의 편안을 위한 것이라 생각한다. 그러니 작품의 끝은 매일의 소소한 인사처럼 평안을 기원하는 것으로 하려한다. 안녕(安寧)하세요! 함께 안녕히 존재하는 것. 그것이 공존의 궁극적 목표일 것이다.

A breeze blows between the blue sky and the leaves. Days that are neither winter nor summer, are both frigid and sultry. He was my everything of the days.
